BlocksOffice

Our ecommerce platform for Tessitura. Ticket sales, donations, subscriptions, memberships, account management—built on the Tessitura API with a design and user experience we control completely.

Current clients include the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Royal Albert Hall, Roundabout Theatre Company, Minnesota Orchestra, and New York City Ballet.

BlocksOffice runs alongside your CMS-driven marketing site, with session sharing that lets your main site know about a user’s cart, login status, and presale access. The platform is hosted and maintained by us, with a service-level agreement and round-the-clock emergency support.

In practice

What it can do

SeatCurve

Select-your-own-seat that actually looks like your venue. SVG-based maps can show architectural details, sightlines, accessibility locations. Optional view-from-seat photography and upsells to better available seats.

Digital tickets

Native Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes. Configurable release timing, regenerating barcodes to prevent screenshot sharing.

Flexible checkout

Guest checkout, third-party login, passwordless flows. Apple Pay, PayPal, and all major Tessitura payment providers.

Upsells and add-ons

Targeted offers based on cart contents or customer history. Can mask ticketing terminology so parking or merchandise appears naturally.

High-traffic on-sales

BlocksOffice is always deployed behind CrowdHandler, our virtual waiting room. It decides in real time whether users proceed or queue, responds automatically to system strain, and includes bot detection for the patterns typical of ticket resellers. The BlocksOffice license includes CrowdHandler.
